Leader Attends Mourning Rituals Marking Hazrat Zahra Martyrdom Anniversary

IQNA – Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei took part in a mourning ceremony marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA).

The program was held at the Imam Khomeini Husseiniyeh (religious center) in Tehran on Saturday evening.

A large number of devotes of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS), including senior officials and people from different walks of life, took part in the mourning ritual.

Addressing the event senior cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Nasser Rafiei elaborated on defending the oppressed in the Seerah of Hazrat Zahra.

The mourning ceremony also included elegy recitations by Mahmoud Karimi.

Shia Muslims and others in different parts of the world hold rituals every year on the third day of the month of Jumada al-Thani in the lunar Hijri calendar to mourn the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA), the beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
